At the direction of Cardinal Wilfred Napier, Parishes in the Archdiocese of Durban are obliged to become actively involved in the problems facing modern day South Africa, namely those of Unemployment, Poverty and AIDS The Parish has a notice board where people with available skills can advertise their services and likewise, people in need of employment can have their details displayed. To ensure the success of the program, each parish had to appoint a "Outreach Co-ordinator" whose job it is to interact with the various groups in the Parish and people and organisations in need.
